"I'll Send You A Postcard from Fabulous."

A wise one whom I was on the phone with yesterday, told me some issues he had on his mind and one issue somehow led to an argument, so here is how it goes:

His granny was in hospital yesterday because she was down for a knee replacement operation. The same operation was carried out last year as well but for a different leg. Usually morphine is injected into patients who have just finished their operation as its suppose to relieve the pain, however when this was done his granny’s blood pressure plummeted therefore it was written on the report that morphine was not supposed to be injected into her. But after her operation yesterday morphine was yet again injected into her. Soon after the hospital staff realized it was stated in the report that she was not suppose to be on morphine therefore they stopped the supply of morphine and had to wait for a couple of hours till the morphine was out of her system before giving her regular painkillers. Meanwhile she was suffering in pain as there were no painkillers being given because it could raise complications as the morphine was still in her system.

WISE ONE:

- I think all the doctors are all so fucked up, we pay them good money for their services but yet again they fuck it up considered the fact it was written on the report that no morphine was suppose to be injected into her. Now she is suffering in pain la what the fuck just because of their negligence. What if something happened because of their one blunder?

TASHA:

- I beg to differ, because all doctors and nurses are humans. It is in human nature to err we cannot expect perfection because even doctors themselves get exhausted.

WISE ONE:

- So are you trying to tell me that when they got themselves into this profession they did not know what was in store for them. If I lost my granny today I do not blame them?

TASHA:

- Yet again they are human, when you undergo an operation be it anyone there is always a risk of complication, things going wrong. You never are able to have a 100% assurance that the patient is going to come out walking fit and fine. They do know what is in store for them but definitely every human is entitled to making mistakes be it minor or major ones. It could have been negligence she could have died, but its so easy to blame other people for it. Don’t doctors deserve a second chance? If doctors were that flawless they would be on the same level as god.

WISE ONE:

- Whatever la, we are both arguing on different points and this will never end you are supporting your point and I am supporting mine.

TASHA:

- BECAUSE YOUR JUDGEMENT IS SO BASELESS, due to one incident you cannot just criticize all doctors like that, it is unfair because if everyone in society is to look at your point of view then sadly I doubt anyone would want to become a doctor not only is curing people their profession but taking insults from people like us humans. In my opinion It was a very stereotype situation because due to one bad incident he forgot all the good attributes of doctors.

Therefore I would like you guys to take your pick, leave your comments in the tagboard.
